The Museum is delighted to host author Darwin Payne on Sunday, February 18 for a special book signing at the Museum Store. Payne will be signing copies of his recently released book, Behind the Scenes: Covering the JFK Assassination. The book is available for purchase from the Museum Store or online at Books – The Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza (jfk.org)
Darwin Payne is an author and professor emeritus of communications at Southern Methodist University. Other written works include Big D: Triumphs and Troubles of an American Supercity in the 20th Century, a biography of Sarah T. Hughes, the federal judge who gave the oath of office to Lyndon Johnson and was an early crusader for women’s rights, as well as a biography of Owen Wister, the novelist who created the lasting image of the cowboy as western hero.
