OnlineThe 1960s ushered in several medical advancements including the first heart transplant and improvements in respiratory health research for children. In this session of Sixties Science, participants will learn about advancements in medical treatment and research and see how it connects to medical issues today. They will build their own set of inflatable lungs and a heart pump and then determine how to repair them when the patient is ill.
The Sixties Science program is a monthly series connecting history and STEAM from the 1960s to today for students ages 8-13.
