Sign of the Times: Opening Reception and Lecture with Curator Hal Wert

Dr. Hal Wert, curator of the temporary exhibit, Sign of the Times: The Great American Political Poster 1844-2012, explored the stories behind the posters and the intriguing political messages that have changed throughout the years. The project was supported in part by an award from Mid-America Arts Alliance, The National Endowment for the Arts, Texas Commission on the Arts, and foundations, corporations and individuals in Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, Oklahoma and Texas. The posters featured in the exhibit were from Dr. Wert’s personal collection.
