Oral History with Mary and Les Arnold, the widow and son of the late Gordon Arnold, who claimed to be standing on the grassy knoll in Dealey Plaza at the time of the Kennedy assassination. The Arnolds shared thoughts and memories of his life and experiences, including his reluctance over the years to share his controversial account of the president's shooting.Interview conducted at The Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza on January 13, 2006 by Gary Mack and Stephen Fagin. Gordon Arnold was among the first individuals to record an oral history with The Sixth Floor Museum. His June 1989 audio interview may be heard in full here: Gordon Arnold Oral History – Works – eMuseum (jfk.org). Arnold passed away on October 15, 1997. At the time of this oral history with Mary and Les Arnold in January 2006, the family donated most of the items shown and discussed, including the 8mm camera that Arnold said he used in Dealey Plaza (https://emuseum.jfk.org/objects/32554) as well as Arnold's military documents and related correspondence. -- Stephen Fagin, Curator
