Jim Bendat Oral History
Videotaped oral history interview with Jim Bendat. As a twelve-year-old, Bendat met Sen. John F. Kennedy at the 1960 Democratic National Convention. This encounter inspired an interest in politics, and decades later, as a historian of presidential inaugurations, he wrote the book "Democracy's Big Day" (2012). Interview conducted at The Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza on September 12, 2014 by Stephen Fagin. The interview is twenty-five minutes long.
