Original 35mm black and white negative taken by Dallas Times Herald staff photographer Darryl Heikes. The image shows Dallas Police Sergeant Gerald 'Jerry' Hill being interviewed in the third floor hallway of Dallas Police headquarters in the evening of November 22, 1963. Bill Mercer, a KRLD reporter, can be seen on the left of the image. The negative is on Kodak Tri-X Pan Film. This image is labeled #4 on section 2 of negative strip 34.The old TMS record for the images on this negative strip indicate that the photographer was Darryl Heikes. Based on research conducted by collections intern Mark Davies in June and July 2012, curatorial and collections staff concluded that Heikes did indeed take these pictures.
