Image of hearse leaving Parkland Hospital en route to Love Field

Original 35mm black and white negative taken by a Dallas Times Herald staff photographer. This image shows a hearse from the Oneal Funeral Home, carrying the body of President Kennedy, leaving Parkland Hospital with a police motorcycle escort en route to Love Field on November 22, 1963.This image has a double exposure, repeating some of the image on both left and right sides. Such double exposures were often caused by mechanical difficulties advancing film through the camera. The images on this negative strip were taken by a Dallas Times Herald staff photographer. There were three photographers at Parkland Hospital that day: John Mazziotta, Bob Jackson and Eamon Kennedy. It is unknown which of the three took these pictures.
