"Carl" Day outside of the Texas School Book Depository carrying the Mannlicher-Carcano rifle that was found on the sixth floor on November 22, 1963. Day was head of the Dallas Police Crime Scene Search Unit.The image as scanned from the contact sheet includes a red editor's mark. Two versions of the image are included with this record - one showing the mark and one with the mark removed.
