Color slide #59 of a Peacenik plaque placed by the group "Support"

One 35mm color image on a Color Transparency slide of a "Peacenik" plaque, honoring Vietnam veterans, placed by the group "Support." At the top the plaque reads, "In memory of Texas Servicemen who had the courage to give their lives for their country in the service of the Viet Nam War." The bottom reads, "PLACED BY MEMBERS OF SUPPORT." This slide is in a cardboard mount, and handwritten on the slide in black ink is the number "59" in the bottom right corner. At the top of the image handwritten in black ink is "PEACENIK" and "A." To the left of the image in black print text is "11 / APR 67." On the emulsion side of the slide at the left in red print text is an image of an arrow and, "THIS SIDE TOWARD SCREEN." The opposite label reads, "COLOR TRANSPARENCY." George Reid was a longtime John F. Kennedy supporter who campaigned for him in Texas. He also filmed home-movie footage of President Kennedy at Love Field in Dallas, and in Dealey Plaza on several occasions in the 1960s.
