Color slide #15 of Mayor J. Erik Jonsson holding a wreath of flowers
One 35mm color image on Ektachrome Transparency slide of Dallas Mayor J. Erik Jonsson with flowers on a wreath. He is standing on a sidewalk, as though posing for a camera. A woman (whose back is turned) in a blue suit is standing in front of him, and a man that looks like he is part of a camera crew is behind her wearing headphones and holding an extended microphone in his left hand. Others appear to be gathered on the left side of the image. The Dallas County Criminal Courts Building is in the upper part of the background of the image and the Old Red Courthouse can be seen in the upper right corner of the image background. This slide is in a cardboard mount and handwritten on the slide in black ink is the number "(15" in the bottom right corner. Above the image in red printed text is the copyright symbol and "Reproduction ONLY by written consent of G. C. REID, P.O. Box 15620, Dallas, Texas 75215". To the left of that is a mark in black ink. Below the image handwritten in red ink is, "E. JONSSON". Underneath this printed in yellow text is, "MADE IN U.S.A. U.S. PAT. NO. 3.013.354”. Above this in red printed text reads "NOV 66D3," "561," and "16". On the emulsion side of the slide at the bottom left corner is the "Kodak" label and "PROCESSED BY" in blue printed text. Opposite is "Ektachrome Transparency." George Reid was a longtime John F. Kennedy supporter who campaigned for him in Texas. He also filmed home-movie footage of President Kennedy at Love Field in Dallas, and in Dealey Plaza on several occasions in the 1960s.
