Chris Semos Oral History
Videotaped oral history interview with Chris Semos. A former Texas state legislator (1967-83) and Dallas County commissioner (1983-95), Semos was acquainted with Jack Ruby prior to the Kennedy assassination. His late father, Victor Semos, owned and operated the prominent Torch Restaurant in Oak Cliff for many years. In 1991, as a county commissioner, Semos supported filmmaker Oliver Stone's right to shoot sequences for his film, JFK, in Dealey Plaza and inside the former Texas School Book Depository building. Interview conducted at Mr. Semos' home on February 9, 2001 by Bob Porter and Stephen Fagin. The video is one hour and thirteen minutes long.
