Fredna Stewart Film
8mm color home movie filmed by Fredna Stewart. On November 22, 1963, Stewart filmed the Kennedy motorcade through downtown Dallas from the north side of Main Street near the corner of Main Street and Griffin Street. As President Kennedy neared her location, someone stepped in front of her camera, blocking her view. Fortunately, she recovered quickly and stepped to the side. At the limousine's closest point, the heads of the Kennedys and Connallys are turned away from the photographer. Her film is short - about 20 seconds - and is on a reel with about 25 minutes of other family home movies including part of a Baylor University football game and footage of children playing outside.
