Ralph Wadsworth Oral History

Videotaped oral history interview with Ralph Wadsworth. As a member of the Texas Highway Patrol, Wadsworth drove the fourteenth vehicle in the Dallas motorcade, carrying five U.S. congressmen, including Reps. Jim Wright of Fort Worth and Albert Thomas of Houston. From November 23 to December 5, 1963, Wadsworth was assigned to protect Governor John Connally at Parkland Memorial Hospital. Interview conducted at Mr. Wadsworth's home on July 30, 2021 by Stephen Fagin. The interview is one hour and four minutes long.

In 2021, Ralph Wadsworth participated in a Texas Department of Public Safety video to commemorate the 58th anniversary of the Kennedy assassination. It may be viewed on the Texas DPS YouTube channel: Retired Texas Ranger, DPS Trooper Share Their Story - YouTube. In the video, Wadsworth is joined by former state trooper Joe Henry Rich, who sadly passed away on July 8, 2021, just four days before he was scheduled to record an oral history with the Museum. In January 2006, Ralph Wadsworth recorded an interview with the Texas Ranger Hall of Fame and Museum in Waco, Texas.
