Curatorial Note:

We first learned about Rabbi Sidney Zimelman when he contacted the Museum in early 2013 looking for a printed copy of his radio eulogy. Our librarian/archivist and her intern at the time spent quite a lot of time searching various archives, including the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library, the National Archives, the Library of Congress and even the Armed Forces Network archive. Unfortunately, as of 2022, we have never been able to locate a copy of Rabbi Zimelman's remarks. We do, however, have in our Library a 200-page collection of sermons given in the aftermath of the assassinations. A Man Named John F. Kennedy, edited by Charles Stewart and Bruce Kendall, was published by Paulist Press in 1964: Koha | Details for A man named John F. Kennedy; (bibliovation.com). - Stephen Fagin, Curator
