Jacques Lowe “Public Figures, Private Photographs” Legacy Event

At this private Legacy event, the Kennedys personal photographer, Jacques Lowe, shared his memories of President and Mrs. Kennedy and told behind-the-scenes stories of several pictures presented as a PowerPoint.Videotaped oral history interview with Jacques Lowe — The Kennedys’ personal photographer for many years, Mr. Lowe photographed John and Jackie Kennedy frequently from 1958 to 1961, taking some 40,000 images. During the 1960 presidential campaign, he served as the official campaign photographer. Mr. Lowe recorded a videotaped oral history interview on 10/9/1997, and he also participated in a videotaped public program at The Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza on 11/21/1997.Jacques Lowe was the Kennedy’s family photographer during the 1960 campaign and also during the early time they were in the White House.
