Jon McConal Oral History

Videotaped oral history interview with Jon “Bunky” McConal. A longtime reporter and columnist at the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, McConal spent the weekend of the Kennedy assassination in the newsroom and interviewed Marguerite Oswald on Sunday. The following day he served as a pallbearer at Lee Harvey Oswald’s funeral. Interview conducted at The Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza on October 20, 2005 by Stephen Fagin. The interview is fifty-six minutes long.

“Parkland Hospital: Trauma Room One Reunion” Program

Videotaped public program entitled “Parkland Hospital: Trauma Room One Reunion” with Dr. Ronald C. Jones and Dr. Robert N. McClelland. This program, moderated by Dallas broadcaster John McCaa, brought together two of the physicians who treated President Kennedy in Trauma Room One at Parkland Memorial Hospital following the assassination on November 22, 1963. Public program recorded at The Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza on September 24, 2013. The program is one hour and three minutes.

Louise B. Raggio Oral History

Videotaped oral history interview with Louise Raggio. A trailblazing lawyer and longtime crusader for women’s rights, Raggio and her late husband, Grier Raggio, attended the Dallas Trade Mart luncheon on November 22, 1963. Grier Raggio, a volunteer lawyer for the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), went to Dallas police headquarters that evening to observe Lee Harvey Oswald during his arraignment. Previously, Louise Raggio had agreed to represent Ruth Paine during her divorce proceedings, which were delayed as a result of the assassination. Interview conducted at The Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza on August 12, 2005 by Stephen Fagin. The interview is forty-eight minutes long.

Jack McNairy Oral History

Videotaped oral history interview with Jack McNairy. McNairy, a Dallas high school student and part-time Dallas Times Herald employee in 1963, observed the Kennedy motorcade on Stemmons Freeway immediately after the assassination. He then gave an official a ride to Parkland Memorial Hospital, where he had an opportunity to view the backseat of the presidential limousine. Interview conducted at The Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza on December 10, 2003 by Stephen Fagin. The interview is one hour and one minute long.
