Negative strip with 2 images of preparations at the Hotel Texas

Original 120 film black and white negative strip of Kodak film containing two images of a man changing out the marquee sign above the Hotel Texas entrance in Fort Worth, Texas on Thursday, November 21, 1963. The right side of the film has a label reading “Kodak Safety Film” while the other side has images labeled “4 C” and “5 D.” Handwritten in orange grease pen at the top of the film is “YES” with an arrow pointing down.

KRLD-TV Tape 06: “Market Hall, Connally doctors, hospital, film stories” and original box

Original black and white KRLD-TV news footage of the Dallas Trade Mart and Parkland Hospital on the day of the Kennedy assassination, November 22, 1963. The footage was recorded shortly after the assassination and was recorded on 2″ videotape.

The tape includes Eddie Barker, the news director of KRLD-TV in 1963, reporting from the Dallas Trade Mart as well as interviews with Connally’s doctors, including Dr. Robert Shaw, at Parkland Hospital.

The KRLD-TV Kennedy assassination tapes were donated to the Museum in 1995. The tape is labeled “KRLD-TV Tape 06: ‘Market Hall, Connally doctors, hospital, film stories'”; it is one of 87 similar tapes included in the donation.
