Curatorial Note:

During this 2001 oral history, Mr. Warnock disagreed with the official position of the "sniper's perch" in the southeast corner of the sixth floor of the Texas School Book Depository. Despite news footage and Dallas Police Department crime scene photographs showing the area in the immediate aftermath, Warnock instead recalled that the "sniper's perch" was located several feet away "back over towards the back" of the sixth floor. In addition, Warnock recalled seeing an empty potato chips bag, an unscrewed light bulb, and "neat and straight" rows of boxes that "were like soldiers lined up." - Stephen Fagin, Curator
