Videotaped oral history interview with John Updike. A two-time Pulitzer Prize winner, Updike was a prolific American novelist, poet and literary critic. He was at a dental appointment in Massachusetts when he learned that President Kennedy had been shot. He wrote a short piece in "The New Yorker" in response to the assassination.Interview conducted at The Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza on January 10, 2008 by Associate Curator Stephen Fagin.
