Videotaped oral history interview with Speaker Jim Wright. Congressman from Fort Worth and former Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives, Wright was one of the key planners for President Kennedy's visit to Fort Worth and traveled with the presidential party to Dallas. He gave an emotional prayer for the late president on live radio outside of Parkland Memorial Hospital just after President Kennedy's death was announced.Interview conducted at Speaker Wright's office on February 22, 1996 by Wes Wise with Bob Porter. The interview is one hour and fifty-one minutes long.
