Ira Grupper Oral History
Audiotaped oral history interview with Ira Gupper. A human rights activist for more than sixty years, Grupper joined the Civil Rights Movement in New York City in 1959. He worked with a number of organizations, including the Student Non-violent Coordinating Committee in Georgia and Mississippi. Grupper was arrested and beaten during a protest in Jackson, Mississippi in 1965.Interview conducted by telephone on August 10, 2022 by Stephen Fagin. The interview is fifty-two minutes long.
