Image 6 from Negative Strip 47: Parkland Hospital of Robert Oswald leaving Parkland Hospital

Original 35mm black and white negative taken by a Dallas Times Herald staff photographer, possibly Eamon Kennedy. The image shows Robert Oswald and a security escort (possibly Secret Service) leaving Parkland Hospital on November 24, 1963 after the death of Lee Harvey Oswald. The negative is on Kodak Tri-X Pan Film. This image is labeled #6 on section 2 of negative strip 47.The old TMS record for the images on this negative strip identified the photographer as Andy Hanson. Based on research conducted by collections intern Mark Davies in June and July 2012, curatorial and collections staff concluded that Andy Hanson definitely did NOT take the photos on this strip. He took very similar photos from a slightly different vantage point (confirmed by viewing his negatives at Photographic Archives). The photographer might have been Eamon Kennedy but it is not possible to verify that at this time. (Katie Womack, 8/21/13)Robert Oswald leaving Parkland Hospital, possibly escorted by Secret Service
