Image 6 from Negative Strip 37: Dallas Police Department of two men talking to reporters in a hallway

Original 35mm black and white negative taken by an unidentified Dallas Times Herald staff photographer. The image shows Dallas Police Chief Jesse Curry and Dallas County Criminal District Attorney Henry Wade speaking to reporters in the hallway at the Dallas Police Department headquarters. Jim Murray, a free-lance photographer, can be seen in the image at the left. The negative is on Kodak Tri-X Pan Film. This image is labeled #6 on section 1 of negative strip 37.The old TMS record for the images on this negative strip did not identify a photographer. Based on research conducted by collections intern Mark Davies in June and July 2012, curatorial and collections staff concluded that it is not possible to say at this time who took the photos, although we did note that the photographer for negative strip 37 is NOT the same as the photographer who took the pictures on negative strip 38. There is a possibility that Darryl Heikes took the photos on strip 38 but this cannot be verified at this time.
