"Carl" Day leaving the Texas School Book Depository, walking across Houston Street toward the Dal-Tex Building, carrying the Mannlicher-Carcano rifle that was found on the sixth floor of the Book Depository on November 22, 1963. Day was head of the Dallas Police Crime Scene Search Unit.A red editor's mark is visible in the top right corner of the image and a smaller red mark can be seen just below the center of the image, near the stock of the rifle.
