Original 35mm black and white negative taken by Dallas Times Herald staff photographer William Allen. This image shows President Kennedy exiting the Hotel Texas in Fort Worth on the morning of November 22, 1963. The small crowd surrounding President Kennedy includes Governor John Connally, Assistant White House Press Secretary Malcolm Kilduff, Congressman Jim Wright and Vice President Lyndon B. Johnson. The negative is on Kodak Tri-X Pan Film. This image is labeled #2 on section 1 of negative strip 2.The old TMS record for the images on this negative strip attributed the photographs to William Allen. Based on research conducted by collections intern Mark Davies in June and July 2012, curatorial and collections staff concluded that this attribution is correct.
