Image 15 from Negative Strip 16: Parkland of a woman carrying a camera and consoling a young girl

Original 35mm black and white negative taken by unidentified Dallas Times Herald staff photographer. This image shows a mother and daughter outside of Parkland Hospital reacting to the news of President Kennedy's death on November 22, 1963. The negative is on Kodak Tri-X Pan Film. The image is labeled #15 on section 3 of negative strip 16.The old TMS record for the images on this negative strip did not identify a photographer. Based on research conducted by collections intern Mark Davies in June and July 2012, curatorial and collections staff concluded that while the specific photographer cannot be identified, we do know it was one of two men: There were two DTH photographers at Parkland Hospital that day who stayed for the press conference - Eamon Kennedy and John Mazziotta. One of them took these photos. Bob Jackson, who was at Parkland earlier, was not present at the press conference, which appears in the last frames on this negative strip.
