Original 35mm black and white negative taken by Dallas Times Herald staff photographer William Allen. This image shows an unidentified Dallas Police officer pointing to the location where the rifle was found on the sixth floor of the Texas School Book Depository on November 22, 1963. The negative is on Kodak Tri-X Pan Film. The image is labeled #11A on section 2 of negative strip 23.The old TMS record for the images on this negative strip indicate that the photographer was William Allen. Based on research conducted by collections intern Mark Davies in June and July 2012, curatorial and collections staff concluded that Allen did indeed take these pictures.
