Gerald Posner Oral History
Videotaped oral history interview with Gerald Posner. An award-winning journalist and best-selling author, Posner wrote the critically-acclaimed "Case Closed" (1993). The book, which is considered one of the most significant works on the Kennedy assassination, was a finalist for the 1994 Pulitzer Prize for History. Posner is also the author of "Killing the Dream: James Earl Ray and the Assassination of Martin Luther King, Jr." (1998). Interview conducted at The Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza on November 3, 2015 by Stephen Fagin. The interview is one hour and fourteen minutes long.

After receiving his law degree from the University of California, Hastings College of Law, in 1978, Gerald Posner was a practicing attorney until 1986 when his first book was published. Since then, the investigative journalist has written more than a dozen books. In addition to his books on the Kennedy and King assassinations, Posner has published works on a variety of subjects including the children of Nazi officials, Motown, al-Qaeda, Miami Beach, the Vatican Bank and the American pharmaceutical industry. The Museum hosted a virtual lecture on his book, Pharma (2020), in June 2021. - Stephen Fagin, Curator
