Videotaped oral history interview with Dr. Hal Wert. A professor of history at the Kansas City Art Institute, Wert is an author and collector of presidential campaign posters. A young Nixon supporter in 1960, he switched sides during the election after a personal encounter with Senator John F. Kennedy. Interview conducted at The Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza on February 2, 2016 by Stephen Fagin. The interview is fifty minutes long.

Dr. Wert curated the traveling exhibit "Sign of the Times: The Great American Political Poster from 1844-2012," organized by Exhibits USA/Mid-America Arts Alliance. The exhibit was featured on the Museum's seventh floor from February 3 to March 12, 2016. Many of the pieces in the exhibit came from his personal collection. In addition to this oral history, Dr. Wert participated in a public program and teacher workshop at The Sixth Floor Museum, both of which were recorded as part of the Oral History Project.
