Donald Sawtelle Oral History

Videotaped oral history interview with Donald Sawtelle. First lieutenant with the U.S. Army 3rd Infantry Division in 1963, Sawtelle commanded a "Death Watch" rotation at the White House prior to the president's funeral. He was later interviewed by William Manchester for the book The Death of a President (1967). Interview conducted at The Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza on May 11, 2013, by Stephen Fagin. The interview is forty-two minutes long.
