Videotaped oral history interview with Denise Nicholas. An actress, best known for her roles in the television series Room 222 (1969-74) and In the Heat of the Night (1989-95), Nicholas was featured on the cover of Jet Magazine for the first time at the age of sixteen in 1960. From 1964 to 1966, Nicholas was a member of the Free Southern Theater and toured the South as part of the Civil Rights Movement.Interview conducted via Zoom on November 12, 2021 by Stephen Fagin. The interview is fifty minutes long.
