These black and white photographs of the Texas School Book Depository building were part of the investigative file of the Dallas County Sheriff's Department. Deputy sheriffs were dispatched approximately two weeks after the assassination to thoroughly photograph the exterior of the Depository from all sides. Today these seldom-published images offer a unique period glimpse at the full structure, including the fire stairs, entry signage, and loading dock. - Stephen Fagin, Curator
