Contact Sheet 5 from the Dallas Times Herald Collection

One black and white photographic contact sheet showing positive images for two separate negative strips. All of the images on this page were taken by Dallas Times Herald photographer William Allen on November 24, 1963.Photographers would develop a single sheet with images from multiple negative strips in order to see all the images at once and thus be better able to compare them and to select the best ones for publication. In this particular instance, the first negative strip (on the left) is only represented here on this contact sheet. The other negative strip is represented elsewhere in the Dallas Times Herald Collection. The first negative strip, showing two images of Jack Ruby's bedroom and one image of George Senator, Jack Ruby's roommate, is not represented elsewhere in the Dallas Times Herald Collection (1989.100.0067.0001 through 1989.100.0067.0003). The second negative strip, showing two images of George Senator, Jack Ruby's roommate, is from Negative Strip 54 (1989.100.0054.0001 and 1989.100.0054.0002).
