8mm and Super 8mm film editor; Maker: baia; Model: Ediviewer Dual 8, Mark II This home film editor is cased in plastic, and has metal hardware in places. There is a light bulb at the film feed to project the images. The machine is in working condition, and the light turns on. This editor features fold-away reel arms on each side of the screen area, with rapid geared rewind. It has a dual format reel holder, an extra bright 3" x 4" screen, and a fast slip-in film loading component (with no threading) and a film protecting heat filter. The film loading area consists of a dual format film track for both 8mm and Super 8 film, which slides in or out depending on the type of film. The left turn knob is for focusing adjustments, the right for framing adjustments. The metal arm with a red knob is a frame marker. Underneath this a dual format splicer could be attached, but is not with object. The plug in cord is attached at the bottom of the editor. Two labels are adhered to the bottom of the editor. The first is a product label with all of its information. The second is a registration or product number "00814." The first reads: "BAIA EDIVIEWER II DUAL 8 / FOR BOTH REGULAR AND SUPER 8 / CAT. NO. 07200 PATS PEND APPROVED / 120 VOLTS A.C. 50-60 C.P.S. 26 WATTS / TO CHANGE LAMP / Carefully follow lamp instructions as shown in instruction manual. Replace lamp with Baia No. 71000 Pre-focused lamp assembly only. / BAIA CORPORATION, Jackson, Mich. 49201, U.S.A." The front label has a the maker's name and the model style. The loading area has a label reading, "S8 PUSH IN / 8MM PULL OUT." Mark II seriesGeorge Reid was a longtime John F. Kennedy supporter who campaigned for him in Texas.
