Jack Ruby

The Museum’s Jack Ruby collections include television footage of Ruby shooting Lee Harvey Oswald in the basement of Dallas police headquarters; images of performers onstage at Ruby’s Carousel Club and oral histories with family members and individuals who knew and worked with Ruby. Among the Museum’s extensive holdings related to the 1964 Jack Ruby trial are news footage and photographs; diaries, scrapbooks and oral histories from jurors; artifacts belonging to the judge; courtroom sketches; trial transcripts; and the Dallas district attorney’s prosecution files. Other collections relate to Ruby’s incarceration and his death at Parkland Hospital in January 1967.
