Special Anniversary Concert

In memory of President John F. Kennedy, Gathering for Music: A Community Response to Violence was a chamber music concert that raised money for The Stewpot shelter for the homeless. Performers included Dallas Symphony performers Sarah Kienle on viola, Shu Lee and Bruce Wittrig on violin, and Nan Zhang on cello. The program featured Barber Adagio for Strings (1936), Schubert Rosamunde Quartet, Opus 29 (1834 – Allegro ma non troppo, Andante, Menuetto allegretto and Allegro moderato) and Mozart Ave Verum (1791).
