Videotaped oral history interview with George F. Dillman. Employed by longtime Lyndon Johnson speechwriter Horace Busby, Dillman was an LBJ campaign worker for the 1960 and 1964 presidential elections. On the day of the assassination, Dillman attended the Dallas Trade Mart luncheon and later went to Parkland Memorial Hospital where he helped set up Texas Governor John Connally's temporary office. Interview conducted at The Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza on June 7, 2012 by Stephen Fagin. The interview is fifty-six minutes long.

George Dillman's boss in 1963, Horace "Buzz" Busby (1924-2000), was a Fort Worth native and considered among one of Lyndon Johnson's closest confidants. After a brief career in radio and print journalism, Busby first went to work for Johnson in 1948. After the Kennedy assassination, Johnson made Busby a special assistant and secretary of the cabinet. Among the most notable speeches attributed to Busby is the "Let Us Continue" address delivered by President Johnson before a joint session of Congress on November 27, 1963. Years later, Busby contributed to the televised address on March 31, 1968, in which President Johnson announced that he would not seek re-election. - Stephen Fagin, Curator
