Videotaped oral history interview with Steve North. As an associate producer on Geraldo Rivera’s ABC program, "Goodnight America," in 1976, North arranged several assassination-related interviews, including Marguerite Oswald. In later years, as a radio broadcaster and freelance journalist, North continued to cover the assassination story, ultimately interviewing a number of Kennedy, Oswald and Ruby family members. Interview conducted at The Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza on March 30, 2017 by Stephen Fagin. The interview is one hour and one minute long.

As discussed in this oral history, Steve North was not involved in the two assassination-related episodes of Goodnight America that aired in 1975. He was associate producer on the third and final episode of the series devoted to the assassination, which aired on August 23, 1976. This episode, designated Episode #26, focused on possible connections between Lee Harvey Oswald and Jack Ruby and included interviews with Oswald's mother, Marguerite; Jack Ruby's sister, Eva Grant; former Carousel Club comedian Wally Weston; investigative journalist Jack Anderson; and CIA undercover operative and convicted Watergate burglar Frank Sturgis. As of summer 2024, that episode of Goodnight America may be viewed on Geraldo Rivera's website here: Ruby/Oswald, JFK Assassination - Geraldo. - Stephen Fagin, Curator
