Original 35mm black and white negative taken by Dallas Times Herald staff photographer Eamon Kennedy. The image shows a small group of mourners and memorial flowers in Dealey Plaza with the Texas School Book Depository in the background on November 23, 1963. The negative is on Kodak Tri-X Pan Film. This image is labeled #12 on section 2 of negative strip 39.The old TMS record for the images on this negative strip did not identify a photographer. Based on research conducted by collections intern Mark Davies in June and July 2012, curatorial and collections staff concluded that it is not possible to say at this time who took the photos, although it is possible these pictures were taken by Eamon Kennedy.
