Image 14 from Negative Strip 38: Dallas Police Department of a man speaking to reporters

Original 35mm black and white negative taken by an unidentified Dallas Times Herald staff photographer. The image shows Dallas County Criminal District Attorney Henry Wade conducting a press conference immediately following Lee Harvey Oswald's appearance at the midnight press conference at the Dallas Police Department headquarters. Ike Pappas of WNEW Radio in New York can be seen on the right in the image. The negative is on Kodak Tri-X Pan Film. This image is labeled #14 on section 3 of negative strip 38.The old TMS record for the images on this negative strip did not identify a photographer. Based on research conducted by collections intern Mark Davies in June and July 2012, curatorial and collections staff concluded that it is not possible to say at this time who took the photos, although we did note that the photographer for negative strip 37 is NOT the same as the photographer who took the pictures on negative strip 38. There is a possibility that Darryl Heikes took the photos on strip 38 but this cannot be verified at this time. (Lindsey Richardson, 8/22/13)Henry Wade press conference just after Oswald's; Ike Pappas, of WNEW radio in New York, can be seen as well
