Original 35mm black and white negative taken by a Dallas Times Herald staff photographer. This image shows members of the press interviewing people outside Parkland Hospital on November 22, 1963. The images on this negative strip were taken by a Dallas Times Herald staff photographer. There were three photographers at Parkland Hospital that day: John Mazziotta, Bob Jackson and Eamon Kennedy. It is unknown which of the three took these pictures. The negative is on Kodak Tri-X Pan Film. The image is labeled #11 on section 2 of negative strip 15.The old TMS record for the images on this negative strip did not identify a photographer. Based on research conducted by collections intern Mark Davies in June and July 2012, curatorial and collections staff concluded that while the specific photographer cannot be identified, we do know it was one of three men: There were three DTH photographers present at Parkland Hospital that day - Eamon Kennedy, Bob Jackson and John Mazziotta. One of them took these photos. (Lindsey Richardson, 8/1/12) Also at that 2012 meeting it was noted that in images 1989.100.0015.0006 - .0008 there is a silhouette of a photographer holding a camera and a cigarette - it seems likely it is Bob Jackson, which would indicate he was the photographer for this negative strip.
