Image 9 from Negative Strip 12: Parkland of a white car outside Parkland Hospital
Original 35mm black and white negative taken by a Dallas Times Herald staff photographer showing the vehicle that would be used to take Vice President Lyndon B. Johnson from Parkland Hospital to Love Field on November 22, 1963. The images on this negative strip were taken by a Dallas Times Herald staff photographer. There were three photographers at Parkland Hospital that day: John Mazziotta, Bob Jackson and Eamon Kennedy. Bob Jackson appears in one of the pictures on this strip so the photographer must have been either Kennedy or Mazziotta. The negative is on Kodak Tri-X Pan Film. The image is labeled #9 on section 2 of negative strip 12.The old TMS record for the images on this negative strip did not identify the photographer. Based on research conducted by collections intern Mark Davies in June and July 2012, curatorial and collections staff concluded the following: There were three DTH photographers assigned to Love Field that morning - Eamon Kennedy, Bob Jackson and John Mazziotta. Since Bob Jackson appears in one of the images, the attribution was changed to indicate that the photographs were taken by either Eamon Kennedy or John Mazziotta.
