Webster Electronic Co. Telehome speaker for an intercom system from the Texas School Book Depository. The speaker has a dark wood case with metal mesh on two sides and three cream-colored buttons on the top. One face of the speaker has a metal plate reading "Telehome; Webster Electric Co., Racine, Wis, USA". There are frayed wires attached to the underside of the speaker.Sticker on bottom (partially torn) reads:"Model. 5D45SERIAL B 10126Webster Electric Co.Racine WisconsinP10702United States of America359-731"

Curatorial Note:

When he donated these items, Mr. Dublin told me he found them in a large pile of discarded equipment outside the former Texas School Book Depository years after the assassination and thought they looked interesting. Whether this speaker was in use in 1963 is unknown. It may have been discarded after the Texas School Book Depository company moved out in 1970. - Gary Mack, Curator
