Videotaped oral history interview with Sam Berger. An employee of the Peacock Jewelry Company in Dallas, Berger sold Abraham Zapruder the Bell & Howell home movie camera later used to film the Kennedy assassination. Berger observed and photographed the motorcade himself on Main Street.Interview conducted at Town Village retirement home in Dallas on October 10, 2011 by Stephen Fagin. The interview is thirty minutes long.

Sam Berger passed away on November 13, 2016. Mr. Berger initially contacted the Museum to volunteer for the Oral History Project in 2009, though he decided to postpone the recording with the hope that he could find his long-missing photograph of the Kennedy motorcade from November 22, 1963. Ultimately, he was never able to find the original photo, though he kindly agreed to schedule this interview in 2011. - Stephen Fagin, Curator
