Look Magazine from July 14, 1964. Vol. 28, No. 14; 102 pages, featuring a new painting of John F. Kennedy by Norman Rockwell titled "A Time for Greatness." The magazine commissioned the painting in time for the 1964 Democratic National Convention, the first held after Kennedy was assassinated. Rockwell's painting recalls Kennedy's acceptance speech at the 1960 Democratic National Convention in which he invited Americans to join him on a New Frontier.Articles included in this issue: "Convention: Can the GOP Survive Goldwater?" by Richard Wilson; "Why Elections Are No Fun Anymore," by David Brinkley; "The Best Man Seldom Wins," by Margaret Coit.
