Videotaped oral history interview with Terry Wood and John Puddington. Classmates at Hillcrest High School in Dallas, Wood and Puddington witnessed the arrival of President and Mrs. Kennedy at Dallas Love Field on November 22, 1963. The friends then drove to the end of the parade route and were near the corner of Houston and Elm Streets when they believe they heard shots fired in Dealey Plaza. Interview conducted at The Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza on November 19, 2003 by Stephen Fagin. The interview is thirty-nine minutes long.

At the time of this oral history, Terry Wood was a news anchor and reporter at ABC affiliate KTVX in Salt Lake City, Utah. For a news story to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the assassination in November 2003, he arranged for his old high school classmate, John Puddington of Albuquerque, to join him for a reunion in Dallas to trace their movements as teenagers on the day of the assassination. The pair visited the Museum three days prior to the 40th anniversary and agreed to this on-the-spot oral history. -- Stephen Fagin, Curator
