The man whose full head can be seen in the far left center of this photograph is WFAA-TV assistant news director and chief photographer Bert Shipp. Shipp was at the Dallas Trade Mart on November 22, 1963, and went to Parkland Memorial Hospital after learning of the assassination. He played a significant role behind the camera and even on camera in the WFAA-TV studio during that fateful weekend. Shipp, who passed away in 2015, recorded the Museum's very first videotaped oral history interview in 1992. - Stephen Fagin, Curator
