According to research done by author and journalism professor Dr. John Mark Dempsey, as of late 2019, Robert Fletchner is one of only two known surviving Jack Ruby trial jurors. The other surviving juror as of late 2019 is J. Waymon Rose. Unlike Rose, who kept an extensive trial journal and has participated in a number of interviews and public programs over the years, Mr. Fletchner has been very reluctant to discuss his trial experience. The audio oral history recorded with Flechtner by Dr. Dempsey (2014.019) in 1998 and donated to the Museum in 2014 is Mr. Fletchner's only known interview about the Ruby trial. - Stephen Fagin, Curator
