The Sixth Floor Museum

JFK Consortium

The JFK Resource Consortium was created by The Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza to gather the rich and diverse
JFK-related collections located across the state of Texas and present them in a single portal.

Researchers, students, educators, journalists and the general public can use this research tool to locate materials such as documents, correspondence, photographs, oral histories, artifacts and archival footage related to President Kennedy's life, legacy and assassination.

Each member institution page lists the location of the collection, a brief description of the holding and its relevance to President Kennedy, how to access the collection, and contact information. Institutional logos provide direct links to the member's web site.

This diverse archive of firsthand accounts—from individuals of all ages and from all over the world—includes the recollections of assassination eyewitnesses, law enforcement officials, community leaders, White House officials, social rights activists, filmmakers and researchers, Kennedy family acquaintances, 1960s schoolchildren, Parkland Memorial Hospital personnel, Museum founders and more than 100 members of the local, national and international news media. Transcripts are available for many of these audio-visual recordings.

The Reading Room opened in 2010 and holds the Museum's library collection of books, magazines, CDs, DVDs and newspapers related to President Kennedy's life and legacy.
